I’m really angry about this. The other day when I got brutally sexually harassed by some guys my ‘friend’ knows on League of Legends, I wasn’t going to take being treated that way, so I called him out on his favorite place on the internet to say anything; facebook. His immediate response was ‘in a video game lol’.

Why does our society have to be like this? Why does being told, “Why don’t you give me a bj and let me cum on your face.” ACCEPTABLE to be spoken to that way because I was in a video game? Then, I have another so called ‘friend’ of mine like his comment, agreeing with him. Men… amaze me, and they wonder why we get uncomfortable when they give us compliments while we are walking down the street.

Or why we have to keep our car keys in our hand constantly as we walk from a building to our car. Why we have to keep pepper spray in our bags and how we can’t enjoy a stroll around town at night without feeling like we could get rapes, kidnapped, etc.

Just because I’m a girl who plays video games, doesn’t mean it is okay to speak to me in a disgusting, perverted manner. I bet if I had popped into that Skype call that they were all in that they wouldn’t have had the balls to say that to me directly. It’s a sick power trip, and it’s sick that my ‘friend’ let it happen. But honestly I’m not surprised by it since he himself has made me uncomfortable many times in life.

I wasn’t flashing my boobs to provoke it, I wasn’t yelling at them, I didn’t even tell them I was a girl, my friend told them. I literally did nothing to deserve it, the only question I asked was if my support would buy some wards for our lane, and it blew up into them telling me to blow them, and them wanting to spread cum all over my face and that I need to get back in the kitchen where I belong (so original), etc.

I’ve dealt with a lot of sexual harassment in video games, and usually I can just brush it off with humor, but there was something about this time that was just to far and to wrong.
